Mud Dabbers is a fully functioning pottery studio and gallery settled in the mountains of Balsam, North Carolina. A multi-generation passion project of the Dodson family, Mud Dabbers has become a staple of the Appalachian arts community.

Mud Dabbers’ handmade stoneware pottery combines a flair for elegance with a durability for function. Our work is perfect for accessorizing any high-end interior design, feeding your family, organizing your space, or bringing a piece of Appalachia home.

The Craft Trail is an amazing program design to welcome everyone to out region’s rich craft traditions artists. Travel along the Blue Ridge Craft Trails to visit with artists in their studios, shop galleries full of local, handmade artwork, and discover scenic treasures and cultural gems along the way!
